MTS is not a new concept, there is a software development tool that has most of the components "invented" in MTS and in LOP.
This tool is "PowerBuilder"

PowerBuilder? Its RAD tool for client/server applications. It includes DSL but it doesn’t have means to define other DSLs.
To my mind, it has nothing in common with LOP.

Hm, good pilot can fly everything, bad pilot cannot fly at all. Good programmer don't hesitate to use any tool to finish his task faster, bad programmer doesn't like PowerBuilder. ;o)

Are you romantic? PowerBuilder is a real scrap...
Why I can fly Delphi, Java, Oracle... And after flying PB I need a reabilitaion period? May be you fly not so long but after 4 years of part time usage of PB I know what I say.
(Only Java saves me all that time ;o) )

Ya, ya, ya! Java saves the time... Before you turn it up side down, write lots of classes and interfaces, create your own environment that has only 15% of real Java and the rest is yours, now you can do you real job and develop you project... That is where MPS and LOD came from - from the problem of Java or C++ development environment - you have to do a lot of work before you solve the problem you've got paid for.

Not "Java saves time" but "Java saves me".
In your perfect PowerBuilder even handle simple keyboard actions not easy task comparing to Delphi for example. If you build application and for some reason power will be lost you have to migrate, rebuild, migrate, rebuild,migrate, rebuild dances to save your work and it's possible to lost it all. Integration with VCS is VERY VERY bad if you have more then one PBL and so on...
