Automatic MPS project conversion to the Java Servlet or console app.

Hi

I only have begun today learning MPS and I can not find the answer to this question - whether it is possible automatically to transform the created MPS project in Java servlet or the Java console app?

Thanks

HI

I am sorry, I am possible haven't absolutely correctly formulated a question. I meant possibility of creation of standalone translator for created DSL. That is when the generator for the created minilanguage is exported and build as Java console app or Servlet. And then can be launched in a console mode, get as parameter the source file on DSL, generate the output file and save it in the specified place.

As I have understood from this chapter of a manual - Custom MPS Language , MPS doesn't allocate such functionality, but allows to create builds with the user minilanguages builded in it.

Tell please, whether there is a possibility to launch such MPS in a console mode for translation of source code on built in in it DSLs?

Thanks

Hi!

Looks like you are looking for this doc page: http://confluence.jetbrains.net/display/MPSD1/Generating+MPS+models+from+Ant

and .. we are going to improve this functionality in 2.0 release as well. ;-)

Excuse me for this probably stupid question, I am just the beginner in Java-technologies :-) Purposefully to study Java I has begun approximately one week ago and has found MPS when exploring DSLs in Groovy. In Ant I the same beginner.

I viewed this chapter, but haven't understood that it is exactly what I need :-(

But, probably, special button "generate standalone console translator" in new version of MPS for nubs (like me) will be useful :-) And, may be, not only for nubs.

Thanks for the help :-)
