As far as I can understand, overriding "resolve" and "getAvailableElements" does nothing in terms of default substitute actions. For instance, if I have a variable name in UPPER case, then default ...

Kai, have you tried to add the library to the Java -> Libraries (at the bottom)  list? Here's what works for me:
