Sample project (or better demo) ?

Hi, I find the concept of MPS fascinating bit I'm having difficulty getting a foothold with it since the live demos are really hard to follow and don't provide sufficient explanation. Is there a written step by step demo or a sample project that I can load up and reverse engineer? Also, can we expect an MPS book?!

Hi Rob,

did you see the tutorial at http://www.jetbrains.com/mps/docs/tutorial.html?

For Samples included in MPS you can also take a look around within the "Modules Pool" (see picture below) especially the marked samples (lower circle). Interesting are also the Solutions (upper circle) given for some languages.

Rob,

These samples are automatically unpacked into ~userdir\MPSSamples.1.0\ when you start MPS for the first time.

You can also find project files there.

Generally, it is more convenient to open samples as projects rather than working with them from modules pool.
