What is new in 1.0.1 from 1.0? and Ubuntu problems
Hi,
Thank you for MPS. I would like to know what is new from 1.0 to 1.0.1? Is there any change log?
BTW: I am unable to use MPS 1.0 in my Ubuntu system. I was forced to use Windows version in Virtual Machine.
We faced lot of problems with Linux version. GUI is slow, strucks many times, Keyboard wont work(mainly ctrl+space) etc etc.
We need to use MPS is more than 4 systems and all of them are Ubuntu.
Thank you

Hello Rajesh,
Can you tell what version of Java do you use on Ubuntu?
And what desktop environment do you use?
Regards,
Evgeny
P. S.
I'm use MPS on Ubuntu and everything is fine.
I have JDK 1.6.0_13.
I tried with java version "1.5.0_18" and java version "1.6.0_14"
1.6 is little better and having little faster responce. But still not up to mark.
We used default environment for Ubuntu which is "Gnome"
BTW we got many IDE errors with that red icon at the bottom right.
Do you want us to report them when ever we get them?
I don't think there will be much difference between "JDK 1.6.0_13" and JDK 1.6.0_14.
So may be you are using KDE?
No, I'm using Gnome too.
Yes, report them, please.
It can help us.
I noticed similar problems with Netbeans too. I used to feel it is due to swings. We use Eclipse every day and it works like in any other platform. But when it comes to swings we are into lot of trouble.
I am sure it is not mainly related to MPS. But couldn't find the way to fix it.
Anyway any update on the change log for 1.0.1?
Rajesh,
We haven't provided a change log for 1.0.1 - it mostly differs from 1.0 in minor fixes.
The only noticeable fix is: http://jetbrains.net/tracker/issue/MPS-5219.
Mainly, we plan to provide changelogs for next major releases, but only for new features.
If you want to take a look at change log for fixed bugs try using our bugtracker.
E.g. you can find all fixed critical bugs in MPS and sort them by date of fix:
http://www.jetbrains.net/tracker/issues/MPS?q=critical%20Bug%20fixed%20sort%20by%20resolved%20date .
There are many filters available to the left of issue view, you can try using them.

Mihail
