Regretfully, there's no support for enum values' descriptions currently.However, it seems to me that the value's "presentation" may be clear enough for the user.

It's impossible to use MPS models from non-MPS code.Still, you can "generate" your model into any format, and work with the resulting file from your java code.

I would say in your case these were not concept properties, but rather some "editor settings", which are better to be stored not in a model. You can use (e.g.) PersistentComponents from plugin lang...

Maybe it's simpler just to look at the state machines implemented in mbeddr project (mbeddr.com). This one runs under 3.0 at least ;)
